I have not done a lot of research but my guess is once Federal grant money runs out..... the program will end in most states ????? or be too cost prohibitive like in WA state to participate.

I don't know anything about the laws regarding it but I have shipped eggs all across the U.S. and have received eggs from several states. I don't think you will have a problem,you might ask the seller if he is aware of any problems in his state,otherwise I wouldn't worry about it. All they can do is refuse to allow them to be shipped at the orgin!

Has anyone heard from Countrypunk? haven't seen him post in quite a while.

I'm wanting to get into the egg swap here on BYC so I'm trying to "get all my ducks in a row" : )
I won't have anything to swap until March 2013, but then I'll have some Heritage/SQ Buckeye eggs (in between filling my own 'bator) & poss even some dayold chicks if I'm lucky!

I have a long wish-list so I'm hopeful that I'll be able to trade...

Check at shows around the area. There is a vender from Georgia who sets up at some of the shows. She set up at the one in Sparta. You could probably get some from her. She had everything from legbands to incubators. I can't remeber about netting, but I say you could get some from her. If you want me to dig out her email address and website pm me and I you can work something out with her to make sure she brings some with her to whatever show you wanting to me her at.

I ordered mine from Premier....couldn't find what I wanted locally unless I wanted to make my own with netting and posts etc then they had that stuff at Home Depot.....I didn't want to make it would rather pay to have someone else do it and Premier's prices seemed pretty good.
