See you should have sold them to me..... hehe.

I might have some that are about 8-10 weeks old.  I will have to look, some I have no idea what they are anymore.  I don't have any older ones right now.  I have some projects I am growing out that are near POL but I have to hatch from them and then I will sell the pullets but that might not be till mid summer.    Sorry you lost the SLW.  I can hook you up with a couple of Roos if you want LOL.  I seem to only hatch 3-4 roos to 1 pullet. But on a brighter note my eggs are fertile now LOL

Donna, if your offer still stands I think I'm ready for some birds. I'm soon to be down to only 2. I'll be looking to get 2 or 3 . As you know I'd love to have a BLRW, a splash & a marans preferably blue but if not that's ok. I realize you probably don't have hens , I'd take almost anything but would prefer outside age birds. I'm also supposed to get a wcbp from Raven1. Guess I'll check with her to see if she has any. Thanks feel free to call or text.

Quote: I don't have any that age right now.... just little chicks. They only started laying again about 2 months ago and not laying regularly yet. I only have 3 young pullets from ALL the chicks I hatched in the fall and I have to keep those. I will grow you up some. I might have a Marans for you. I am going to be sorting some Marans in the next week or two. Let me know when you get something from Becky and I will get you a blue copper Marans pullet LAYING age that way you don't have to put just one new chicken in the pen you can add 2 so they will do better.

No pullets on my end either.. Got a "few" (50+ plus more on the way) chicks that I've got to start accommodating for here soon to go out... Some BJG's, DSL's, BO's, Silkies, and God only knows what will hatch out (prolly more chipmunks and less RIR's)..

Yes the sale can seem ummm... different.. I don't exactly favor the stacking myself but don't really think much bout it.. Typical auction where some come to get rid of animals and where some bring stuff they raise for sale only. Definitely have maxed out my purchases for the year there so next time I go will prolly be to sale later on in summer.

Welcome to all new and lost friends! As long as there is no roll tide there will be no Geaux Tigers lol...

We were there & checked out the animals. Wow, I found it quite sad the way the chicken were stacked on top of each other

The silkie hens, their backs were so bare. Saw several, what looked to be pretty peacocks. Maybe it's because we hasn't been to an auction like that before...but the way the chickens, peacocks, piglets & guinea pigs were crammed into such small crates & small cages was quite sad. Needless to say, we didn't stay for the auction.
Another thing to remember is that the animals are sold in the cages or crates so you don't want to spend too much $$ on a cage that will be sold with the contents.. One thing to remember to is that if a container is just small enough then the animal inside can't injure or damage it's looks or itself (peacocks and rabbits for example) so its a thin line. Were several large crates and cages there also. Friends of mine bought one pair of peacocks that were actually in one of the bigger cages. It can be overwhelming if you have never seen that world before. Sorry to hear Yall left early..

Heeeeeeellllllooooo:)

Been gone for awhile. Been working like a dog.
As you guys might have known, I rehomed all of my birds to donna, but the slw and a pet silkie. Well early this year someone STOLE the slw from me! I came home after work and saw the pen opened, went in and not one feather, blood, or signs of break ins. Asked neighbors and notone saw and anything.

so needless to say I was upset... dont want to deal with birds anymore.. silkie stayed and became my dogs best friend and yada yada. So that's what's been happening here.

But sadly sick of not having feathered friends and yard candy and so tired of store bought eggs. Went and picked up some laying hens and bantam black wyandottes. But having hard time finding pullets hens. On cl or anyhere . Would anyone have any pullets or hens they would like to sell? I do not care for the breed or even if mixed. Dont want to mess with chicks so anything big enough to be outside is fine.

Saw this while poking around on Craigslist this morning. Though it might suit you if he wasn't too far away. http://nashville.craigslist.org/grd/3747382722.html

thank you, I saw it this morning. But kinda far and little young. I went and picked up two light brahma hens from a friend. One is fat and sassy other is a bit smaller. Getting eggs from the black dottes and the deleware I got yesterday. Wahoo.
