Got a great score today on craigslist! Answered ad for 10 free chickens. It siad you had to take all so I figured there were some in moult or rooster worn and pretty rough. But they were all beautiful,in full feather and purebred austrolpos! One roo and 9 hens! plus two sacks of feed,bag of oyster shell and bag of grit! Happy happy Happy! Looks like I am going to have to get busy and build a bigger pen fast! lol! They are so pretty just shinny black with bright red combs. Can't imagine anyone just giving them away but I was over joyed to get them!

No, I guess I was to excited and afraid they would want to keep them! Lol actually it looked lie he was a truck drive and. Figured she was going to start going with him on the truck.

They sure did! They are very nice and I would love to have the set up they had. It was a nice lsmall shed with two big covered runs. They could have easily have housed 50 grown birds with no crowding. I could sure use something like that!lol.

That is wonderful! You'll have to let us know how the eggs are when they settle in and start laying for you

Anyone have any bantam hatching eggs available locally? I have the hatching bug and would love to add some new varieties to my coop. If so please PM me with breed and price. Also where I would need to pick them up.
