There will be another livestock swap at the Tractor Supply in Shelbyville on Saturday Feb 9 from 7:30am-1:00pm. The last one was fun and even had a fiddle playing family! I plan to go if the weather is nice!

I looked through my pens and found some pullet that need to go...... about 4-6 months old most. Lavs, splits, Olive Eggers, and a Splash Marans might be a cuckoo not sure anymore

she does NOT have feathered legs. I know someone or 2 have asked so they will get first choice. Then they will go up on CL.

Yeah.... I think I got about 30-34 eggs yesterday.... Today I think I need to lock the new pullets/roos that I took outside the other day IN THE COOP. I don't think they have been in the coop at all

I will do that this afternoon for the 2 pens. You would think they would like the coop, that is were the food is.... not sure they have found that either.

Even with the cold, it is going to sunny so that is good.

The post office called me today..... THEY ARE CLOSED! She has some eggs for me.... how nice is that!

I'm bringing the Silkie inside the next two nights, afraid it might be too cold for her.....she's gone broody anyway so I don't think she'll mind being confined inside I have to force her off the nest as it is.
Got a good tip from a blog and cut up the Christmas tree for inside the coop and run. The girls loved pecking at the branches but mainly it brought such a fresh nice smell inside the coop.

I have some cuckoo marans hatching eggs and some mixed color cuckoo EO chicks for sale if anyone is interested. Yes the cuckoo's have clean shanks but lay a decent egg and tasty too.



I'll take 6 bucks a piece on the chicks and 10 bucks for eggs
