I have 12 fresh Silkie Eggs
Would you, could you, do you ship? If so, how much total?

I am actually looking for some hatching eggs but really can't spend much and I know shipping/packing etc. alone can be $10-15 or so. So really I need someone willing to sell or give me free some eggs.

I'm going to test some of my bantam & LF cochin eggs in the next couple of days but I'm only getting a couple a day, so I just wanted to fill the incubator up. Right now I'm not picky about what breed/sz. - being I'm basically asking for free eggs or very cheap (except for shipping etc.) & I would prefer getting some rather close so the shipping wouldn't be so long and/or hard on the eggs.

thanks.

Looking for FREE or very inexpensive hatching eggs. I would need them shipped Monday Feb. 4th. Of course I would pay shipping etc.

Not picky on breed/sz. I'm going to test some of my bantam & LF cochin eggs in incubator this coming week, first time, and just wanted to fill up incubator.

Asking here because I need them quickly, so figure shipping would be much quickier ( I live in Ooltewah, TN) plus less time being jostled around enroute.

Thanks

I'll post more pics tomorrow when we get them all downloaded but look at this!

This is my New Heritage Buckeye Roo !
Look how huge & beautiful he is !!! I'm crazy for him already.
He is SO gentle too, I mean he just had a long confusing trip, and had hardly been out of the travel carrier 90 secs. when
I reached over & picked him up for the photo -- he didn't flinch or move away or make a noise he just calmly let me pick him up like I'd done
it everyday since he was an egg, as you can see I could barely hold him he is soooo big but he didn't fuss or wiggle or anything!

(pls ignore my Michaeline man show suit, not my best look, but it is way cold on our mtn today)

I am sooo excited!

Oh & you should SEE the Hen & pullet oh my they are just as lovely. It was overcast almost snowing and still the Hen's feathers *glistened* ,
this Trio is simply radiant. I have wanted quality Buckeyes for over a decade now, I am tearing up with joy.
This Trio came from Chris McCary, he is a breeder of Buckeyes and he selected this group for me specifically.
I told him what I wanted & also that I'm a small person so he picked taking temperament into account esp. on the Roo.
I am completely thrilled-- they are beyond what I could have imagined.

The Hen laid an egg on the way home & my DH was nearly dancing around about how large the egg is, really I could not be more happy w/ these birds from Chris.

Thanks for letting me gush to ppl who understand : )
Wow....he is gorgeous! Can't wait to see pics of the hen and pullet.

If I was closer you could have some of mine cheap but shipping probably isn't worth it. They've been in the fridge and not turned regularly. I've hatched some out recently doing that but I couldn't charge someone enough to cover my shipping just in case they're duds.

Do you have a trader joes or whole foods around? There are threads on here where people have hatched those eggs. You could also try putting an ad on Craigslist looking for local eggs. If someone sells fresh eggs in your area you can ask if they're fertile. You might find some cheap that way. Just avoiding shipping saves so much.

Hope this helps.

Here are the pics I promised yesterday:

My tiny single hatch, Jaylee (the poss. Lav Ame ?banty?)
& her 3 new friends, silkie chicks younger than her but look how much bigger!

more for size comparison

Jaylee has been very very vocal and insisting one of the white silkies act like a broody hen, I'm hoping that means she is a pullet & this early "training" will make her a great mama hen.

Here are more of my Buckeye Trio

Pullet, Hen, & Roo "Mr. Buckeye" (I'm still working on names for the gals)

Hen

Left is Egg laid by Hen on way here yesterday, Right store bought Large white for comparison

I'm still on cloud 9 about this Trio :)
