We were told that grandfathering doesn't count when the property changes hands. The original run and coop were there when we bought the house, but we bought it AFTER the new ordinance passed. I'm worried it could go either way, and I don't wanna take a chance with my hens. It will be nice to have them closer, and within the fence so I don't have to worry about kids messing with them again.

I appreciated the help all the same. My daughter has still been pretty sick so I wasn't planning anymore projects, but we'll make it work. She loves the chickens just as much as my son does.

I am overrun right now with Olive Eggers I am going to put an ad on CL for chicks CHEAP. I just can't brood ALL these babies

I have some chicks I just took out of the hatcher today. Sexlinked Black Copper Marans Pullets (4) and Sexlinked EE pullets too (3) and maybe more SL Coppers in the other brooders a little older. I really need to thin down the chicks

My guinea are laying pretty well and laying the eggs in the run so I can find most of them. I have some guinea eggs coming in the mail this week too. Becky I can get you some keets when they all hatch (thinking there will be about 90 eggs going in the bator)

I am interested in the Olive Eggers...how much? How old? PM me with info please...our 'couple of chickens' has turned into 9 so far so I am getting really good at the chicken math lol. One of the 'big girls" is no longer laying so down to one laying and 7 that are 6 weeks old...LOVE the EE and OE colors of eggs and have been wanting one!
