The Middle Tennessee Thread

I was having alittle trouble with mine going back in the coop and now in the late afternoon I will turn the light on in the coop and they go back but if I don't turn the light on they sit next to the coop like they are scared to enter the dark building. I'm no longer having any problems. Hope that helps.

Lori.....I am so sorry for what you are going through. One thing women understand is you don't have to have an answer, I don't need rescuing, JUST LET ME VENT!!! You go right ahead, from the sound of things you deserve it.
Hang in there it will get better, we will all keep you in our prayers.
Isn't that the truth! I'm going through a lot too and hubby asked me the other day if I was ok after a bit of a verbal spewing. I told him I"m fine, I don't need him to 'fix' anything, just let me be cranky once in a while! Prayers for you!
i hate to change the subject but im looking for some young pullets. rir's, ameracauna's maybe some production reds. and golden sexlink's. somewhere in the 4-10 week old class. i just finished my coop and needs some chicks. NOW.
Says you're in Spencer? I'm just down the mountain in Bone Cave. Anyway, I got mine from a little feed store / farm in Sparta just off the highway on Disneyland Rd. Crooked stick I think it's called? Prices were very fair and they sex them for you.

Good new is I figured out the tricks to my LG bator and my hatch rate has zoomed from zero towards 100%

The bad (for me) news is I have four week old & 6+ (some more pipped atm) day old EE Chicks that I _need_ gone tomorrow (Thurs) as I need to go out of town Fri&Sat & I'm not confident on the farmsitters attention to detail for these young birds. I was going to list them on CL for $2 each, but I'm open to all offers IF you can pick them up tomorrow. I'm 16 miles from Fall Creek Falls State Park.

The Roo on all but 2 of these is a pure Black Amer. , the hens are a green laying EE & a JG (so olive egg daughters likely).

The other 2 are from my colorful EE Roo & hatchery laying hens, 1 looks like from my Del as it is a nearly white chick.

**PM** if interested.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend, the dogwoods are blooming here and everything is looking green & fresh finally :)
I wish I'd seen this post when you did it. I'm close to FCF too near Spencer and I'd have jumped at the chance to take them!

The Dickson County Fairgrounds located at 1053 Highway 47 E
Dickson, TN 37055-2541.

Coop in starts at 7am. Judging starts at 9am.

Thank you! Should there be a large variety of chicken breeds? Do people sell hickeys from there?

I need y'all help. I order some chicks from a hatchery in Feb. and I'm still trying to figure out what some of them are. And I'm also new to using forums so I'm hoping I'm doing all of this right. I have 2 more to add later. Thanks
