I am thinking about just saving the change for a genesis, and making my own out of my old cooler, or keeping a eye on Craig's list. I am more interested in Incubating my bantam eggs, till I get my phoneix hens then its game on. I have a man that I bought my new bantams from hunting for my phoneix hens at dog days. My phoenix rooster Jim bob is coming along quite well he isint so timid when I go in the run. All my hens are almost 4 months old so I am excited I don't have to long till I get eggs. But I would like to get two more hens to make it 12. Both my older bantam hens are broody right now and I should have some chicks by saturday. I will post pics when it happens..

Thank you bantamfarm now if you have to many of those Phoenix's let me know, I will gladly take some off your hands. My phoenix roo is a bb red, I would like a silver and a white. His tail feather is almost 2 feet long.

I haven't been on for about 30 pages worth of comments- WOW! A lot to catch up on! I wanted to tell everyone thank you so much for your kind words about my daughter. Shortly after I posted she became very ill and was transported to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, where she was diagnosed with an extremely rare neurological disorder. We started a medicine trial and she is once again doing well. She's happiest when in our backyard chasing chickens and getting dirty from head to toe.

So I have hit the jackpot!!!!!!!!! I will be a first time duck and chicken owner very soon. I am excited about the chickens and have about 8 breeds I want. The breeds I am wanting are LIGHT SUSSEX, SWEDISH FLOWER HENS, CORONATION SUSSEX, WELSUMMER, BIRCHEN MARANS,BLUE DOUBLE LACED BARNEVELDERS, AMERAUCANAS & LAVENDER AMERAUCANAS. I have talked to 4 breeders and I think I can get them all. My plan kinda slowed last week trying to get the coop and pens done. WOW I wish I knew how much $$$ this would cost me before I got my heart set on getting chickens and ducks! But today I got the phone call I was hoping for. I will be getting SAXONY and ANCONA ducks in a couple of weeks!!! I have been really wanting SAXONY ducks and have been looking for them and I am excited about the ANCONA ducks as well because I am getting ALL the colors!!! I have been talking about wanting ducks and chickens to EVERYBODY and it has paid off. A friend of a family member is a breeder who has become ill and has to get rid of them. So I guess I have to spend more $$$ for pens because I am getting about 20.

I have gold, white and silver in the bator, so if they hatch I only need 2 gold... And will be letting others go cheap. I will keep you in mind.
