The Middle Tennessee Thread

Good Afternoon, I am in search of a Mallard Hen. I am in West TN, But will be in Knoxville coming back on Tuesday.. We have two Drakes that the DW got in the spring and they have gotten to the age that they are looking for love in all the wrong Places or from all the Wrong Species..

Thanks

Today I discovered my 10 week old RIRs are intensely curious! I still don't know which are roos and which are hens, but they are endlessly entertaining. Their coop is at the end of the fenced off part of the back yard (not too big of an area). They've been a bit skittish but are always looking at what I'm doing when I'm outside. Today, I was standing just inside my sliding glass door, which was open. The chicks were out under their coop. My cat, Ginger, came out and sat on the step. The chicks immediately came running over (funniest thing I ever saw) to the patio and started to surround my cat. I've never seen him look so nervous. He went back inside and the chicks just looked at me, looking into the house and a couple almost came in. Later, my cat went back out on the back step and again, the chicks came barreling over. My daughter and I laughed our heads off. They have no fear of my cat!!

Please help!!! I have a lone chick that hatched out Thursday who is half houdan/half silkie so she's a bit on the smaller side and I need to find her a friend. Does anyone have any one day to week old chicks(female if possible) they're looking to rehome? I will spoil them ridiculously. I'd even borrow one for a few months until this little guy/gal is old enough to join the adults and bring them back to you. 615-569-9473 I'm in East Nashville.

I think I have 2 bantams penciled wyandotte about a week old. you can have them if you want. I may be heading to Inglewood today or tomorrow. I can bring them with me.
