The Middle Tennessee Thread

I might have some started birds available in a few weeks. Downsizing a bit...probably have Marans, Orps, Ameraucanas....and some black English Orp roosters.
I was going to sell off most of the boys, but my old neighbors that run their mule 4 x 4 from dusk til dawn just moved back. I may keep all the boys close to the property line just to drown out the sound of the sickening exhaust choking all day long. All day. Every day. All flipping day long.

I am an hour from McMinnville, BTW. I used to go to BRC on Depot St for lumber all the time. Maybe we will again if the Chattanooga Market sales go well, then I could deliver chickens :)

Do you have any Lavender Orps?

Does anyone near McMinnville ( within an hours drive ) have Lavender Orps or Orps in general ) , Light Brahmas and/or Salmon Favorelles? Mostly seeking the Salmons, at least 2 hens and a roo. The Orps and Brahmas must be hens only.

Thank you so much but I just got home from picking up a little buff silkie who also hatched out on Thursday. I think I created a monster holding her all the time because she couldn't care less about this other chick. I think she'll come around eventually though. The only time she's quiet is when she's sitting in my hand. =/

I have a Salmon Fav roo and hen but only one of each. They are about 4-5 months old. I work in Sparta Tn. You can have the pair

Are you in a huge rush to sell them? We are still in the process of moving to our new house and need to get settled and erect a temp pen for the chickens before we bring any home. I wasn't actually expecting anyone nearby to have the Favs as they're not that common, at least they weren't back in Florida. We were the only ones within 75 miles to have Favs. We love them though and have always wanted a roo.

I have 11 nice lavender orpington pullets that will be going into my breeding program this fall...not sure if I will use all of those pullets I may be able to spare a few of them once they get a bit older...they are 22 weeks right now...but if I am not willing to let some go I will have hatching eggs available late winter - early spring I could also hatch you some if you dont have a bator and I could make an educated guess as far as the sex if you wanted day olds or if you wanted to bit a bit more sure that you are getting all pullets I could raise them for a couple of week or until I can tell for sure what they are. PM me if interested
