The Middle Tennessee Thread

Well we got some bad news the other day. My DH's cancer has come back. I don't think we are real worried at this point the Dr. feels it is very treatable with an oral medication at this time,but... I will be downsizing to cut the feed bill. You all know what medical bills can be like. I have not made any final decisions yet as to who leaves and who stays, but if anyone is interested I would rather they go to people I know will love and care for them. You all know how attached we can get to our birds . I also have a couple of mini pigs that may go too.
I'm so sorry to hear about the return of cancer for you DH. You'll be in my prayers. My sister's Father in law is in M ICU now, for what was originally a stroke, then what turned out to be a collapsed lung, they found a lump and get the results back tomorrow.
Anybody else ever leave the coop door open for 30 mins and find a nasty surprise waiting? now I'll keep my golden with me, I haven't because he eats the bits that would carry worms--if you get the drift. strange that the chicken did not act differently. how small a gap can a large opossum get through? the door going into the coop from the barn side has a gap at the top I can put my hand through clean up to my wrist? this is the only gap anywhere--and it will be fix this weekend when my husband is home. I know a rat can flex his skull== can a possum get anywhere his face can fit?
No, LSG at the present time-that's why we got a donkey.

Becky sorry to hear the news about your husband. I'll be keeping you both in my prayers.

Very sorry to hear about all this cancer. This is terrible! Please research Dr. Otto Warburg and Vitamin C/oxygenation of the body to help cure cancer. Also, please note that sugar feeds cancer; no sugar or anything that contains sugar like fruit or any high carb diet should be eaten by a cancer patient. A very strict paleo or ketogenic diet (extremely low carb) is the only way to eat when one has cancer. Some say apricot seeds will help (the 'poison' in the seeds directs itself to the cancer, not your healthy cells). I am not a doctor, so the research you do must be your own. These needless deaths from cancer must be stopped! And chemo and Big Pharma ain't going to do it for you! Chemo also kills the healthy cells you have so your body has no defense! Prayers and Godspeed to you all!

Sorry to hear about your husband Raven. It must be the season for this king of stuff. My friend just had to have 75% of her colon removed.

I am looking for some pullets to bulk up my flock a bit. Looking for Orpingtons, Australorps, or Sussex primarily, but any breed that is docile and will go well with these breeds I would consider.
Anyone near Dickson, White Bluff, Charlotte, Ashland City, etc?

Thanks!

are you the person wanting my choc split roo? :)

He is a fine young man be proud..

Sorry, Donna. And Tosha. I hope they can be easily treated and so they can still have good "quality of life". I feel so bad for people that have to go through extensive chemo.

Strength to both, and your families.

And if you decide to let any Orps go, maybe.... let me know. LF.
Ooops- sorry, Becky. I don't know why I thought it was Donna posted that.
