The Middle Tennessee Thread

I'm up to 6 relayers, meaning % of my 11 hens are laying again.:D It would be nice if all 11 were laying but I'll take 6 over 0 any day. Still nothing from the silkies, my new EE & I think the BLRW's are still holding out. But in less than a week I have almost 2 dozen eggs. :D

I am between the Nashville/Clarksville area and would like to buy/pick up a dozen or less Bantam Blue Laced Red Wyandotte Hatching eggs or LF Golden Comet hatching eggs. Anyone have any locally? Currently incubating a few Welsummer eggs that I had shipped, but so many were damaged. Out of 8, I think I only have 3 that look good on day 11. I would love to buy some eggs that haven't been scrambled.

Welcome to our little thread!

The only ones I know is far east tennessee, and I lost contact with her. The golden comets are hard since they are sex linked, they are not often bred, but just ordered for layers... Meyer hatchery is a good place to work with and never had an issue..

I have welsummers. :) No eggs at the moment, but I should have some soon if it ever warms up. I have a few pullets and cockerels available too. (If you need a roo ask fast. They go off to rooster camp in a week.)
