I have 3 today that had internally pipped and just pipped. I did help them some but they were still bleeding. I will try again tomorrow. I know I helped a couple of others that were zipping. It is a very strange hatch......

I will add this is the SAME hatch that was due last Saturday!

My Cackle Hatchery order arrived today!

I got:
2 bourbon red turkey poults
1 NH cockeral
11 Appenzeller Spitzhaubens-straight run
6 EE pullets (one is a white colored chick and all the white colored chicks I have ever had turn into roosters!)
18 assorted Cochin Bantams

I am letting them adjust before I take pictures.

We have had a terrible year with 85% of the chicks we bought earlier being wiped out by a super resistant strain of Cocci. These are now in the laundry room (DH is not happy) and not in the brooding shed he built just because he hates chickens in the house.

Should I start these chicks out on a maintenance dose of Corid now, wait until a week before they go out to the shed brooders, start them on it when they go out, or something else?????? I am really, really, really tired of dying chicks. I usually lose one or two out of every 25 chicks I brood so losing 2-5 a day is very tough on me (and my son).

That is kinda what straight run is.... you could get any comb with the chicks.... 2 males, 2 females, 1 of each..... they are straight run you get what you get. The false info would be to GUESS what the gender is and sell them as a pair. Straight run is how you should be selling with not promise of what they are one way or another.
