Question- One of my CCL pullets is just laying around. She is not interested in scratch or food, but is drinking. I can't see anything wrong with her except her tail feathers are droopy and she obviously doesn't feel like herself. She has been free ranging in the garden for about a month with 12 others. Any ideas of what I can do for her? No bloody poops, no mouth breathing, and nobody else is acting sick. Should I dose her with antibiotics just in case?

I would medicate her. It is probably too late. I find that when they express symptoms often they are beyond fixing. That is not 100% but probably 90%. Is she egg bound?

She hasn't laid any eggs yet. Can they be egg bound from the very first egg? Would you give amprol or something else?

I only have three drugs as my go to....so not sure on that one. I use sulfa drugs, denagard and something else..... I try sulfa drug first covers a lot of issues. If they are expensive are birds I can't replace easy they get denagard right off. If that is what you have try it.

How is her butt feathers? Are they dirty in the least bit? Had a few hens die this past summer and couldn't figure it out. Then one day one started to act the same way. Noticed one thing they had in common was a bit of vent gleet. The last one I turned upside down and rubbed her crop. She throw up for like a minute. Read that vent gleet infection will make it to there crop and sour it. Then I gave her 1tsp of Epsom Salt in 1oz of water. Then 2 tbsp of Greek yogurt and then water with ACV in it. 2 days later she was back with everybody else. Now if I notice anybody with any kind of dirt butt I flush them with the Epsom salt. Works great.

I didn't consider that. Since she was ruffled up as well as lethargic, i read she might need wormed That's what I did today. She does' t seem worse. You guys are all so smart! She's been on ACV all summer and has a clean butt. I am seriously wondering if I'm smart enough to have chickens.
