The Middle Tennessee Thread

Looking for Orpington pullets or hens. Would prefer Lavender but will take what i can get. I have a beautiful pure LO roo and he needs some girlfriends.

If anyone's interested, I've got LOTS of birds up for grabs right now. Non bearded EEs, cuckoo Marans, mixed breeds (some are frizzled) and a few ducks. Looking to down size so I can concentrate on just a few projects instead of many. Shoot me a PM if interested :)

I have some 8 month old super blue egg layers, one is doing something quite unusual. Seems she's gone broody- but just in the evenings and at night!? Has this ever happen to anyone else?

Sounds like she's working up to her big sit in. Most of mine take a few days to a week to get serious about being broody, so I'd say its pretty normal.

My others, orpington's, always seemed to just decide in one day to get serious. but these have turned out to be very serious about when and where they lay. thanks for the info on the wind up, looks like I'm in for a few weeks of broodiness
