Jenski- still with the 12 chickens. Without another run being built that's all I feel comfortable having. My list of "when I have more space" chickens just keeps getting longer and longer though!

Thanks for the welcome, this is a great group! I am in Fayetteville TN which is near to Huntsville AL.

let the hens out for a couple of hours yesterday ( not really a few snuck out and then i let the rest out)..all is still well....Jenski I have a LGD (great pyraneese), but she is on a runner...I gotta get her fixed...she came from a not so good home was very skiddish not fixed...so i have been working with her ALOT.....she would climb a 7 foot fence to get out of a pen i had her in with the goat she would wander but would come back....but i have bonded with her well....I am gonna get her fixed this week gonna call tomorrow....once i have her feeling better and up to date on everything i am going to let her roam more....I only have a little over 2.5 acres but alot of woods behind me to the lake....I have had to take one step at a time with her and she has come such a long way....she is a good girl and doesn't chase the chickens unless they are going for her food...we had more problems before we got her...but this fox waits in the woods i believe she cannot get to it....so soon she will be able to do her job better....she listens to me the most...

Troyer I told you about the chicken math LOL DH is building me a batchlor pen today....my two roos are just wearing out my hens....I already told him I gotta keep a good lav ameraucana roo and a good cuckoo maran roo....so here comes the batchlor pad

....My 2 roos are a production red and black sexlink both are very good with the hens but i am down to 15 hens and their backs are bare on a few.....

....another gorgeous day here in middle Tn...it got up to 90 yesterday in Manchester...i don't think they were calling for it to get that high...o well it felt nice

WANT A POLISH CHICK! Hi! I'm looking for 1 Polish chick (1-2 weeks old) this week! Does anyone near Nashville/Franklin have one that could use a great home? I need this chick as a companion for 1 we are getting this week and my daughter really wants a polish. Any kind/colorations is fine and we don't need show quality - this would be a family pet. We do need a hen (not allowed roosters) with as much certainty as possible, and healthy of course. Happy to pay a fair price as well.
We've got a great backyard setup for the chicks - already have a small flock of 4.
