I don't know, maybe your aunt would have liked to seen the blanket enjoyed. I knowvthat I'd love my knit/crocheted things used and loved, I think too many people save them away.

Nice to meet a fellow knitter, crocheted, chicken lover

I hope she would. I know I like my stuff to be well used. I crochet afghans (just not as fancy as this one). I love when I get begged for a replacement. Means it has been well loved.

I just took a class on spindle spinning and am now learning to make my own yarn. I have a pile of what we will just call "art yarn" for lack of a better term. It is great fun though. Makes me want a sheep or hair goat.

Did we ever make a call on time and place for tomorrow?

Well I hate to keep interrupting ya'll's conversation... but I set my eggs today, and I'm just so excited. I hope it works. the 12 brown ones are organics from walmart for s&g. The 5 tinted ones were donated to me by a lovely lady from cumberland funace, TN... I would really love it if all 5 of those hatch. They were pretty hens.

Matlock- I've never hatched eggs, why the walmart eggs? I assume they won't btdt as they've been refrigerated? Do you just need them in the bator for the others for some reason? Very curious! Looking forward to following your project, itll be my first vicarious hatch

CityGirl - Poor dog! Glad you were able to get her to a vet so quick. Reminds me of dogs and mules where I'm from. The dogs never learned and the mules never saw a dog they liked.

Matlock - We'll have chicks born around the same time...the long wait together.

I just now put eggs under my broody Buff Orp. Thanks again, CityGirl, for the Easter Eggers. I put a few Maran eggs that I got from Raven under her as well as a Cochin egg she brought me. Very excited to see what all hatches.

Tracy-
the wal mart eggs are really just so I could see some eggs in there! But, I did read in the forums about some folks who actually got some store bought organic eggs to hatch. I thought I'd just give em a week and candle em. If nothing just for the experience. After all, When I put the eggs in there from the breeds I want to keep going, I'm wanting to have "all the bugs worked out".

Come on now, folks!!! Only 5 hours till the 'meet-up' and we don't have a place to meet. I'm in the middle of both possible locations so I hate to be the one to call it, I can go either way. I know City Girl and Tish need to be in Murfreesboro, but it seems like someone had said they need Leb. Do we need 2 meet-ups this time?

I'm heading back out to the garden and I hope somebody will take the lead and have this all worked out by the time I check back in (pweeeeese!)

Who wants to bring chickies to Murfreesboro?

If no one is bringing chickens, let's meet at Red Robin at 4pm. If someone is bringing chickens, we can do Old Fort Park pavilion at 4pm. Speak up Murfreesboro people!
