Now,we will all have to deal with the new show bird craze for a few months while all of these disillusioned people think they have good birds. I always look so I can see how bad the birds are around me.But these judges need to get some B about them and start judging correctly and if it means 2/3 get a DQ then do it.They are doing no favors by giving these birds ribbons.
Ahh, I have no faith in our local law enforcement but then again Lebanon City has shot a few innocent people by getting the wrong address in their system..if you can't get an address correct...oh well hopefully I never have to rely on them for much.

We went to the Williamson County Fair earlier this week - mostly so I could look at the chickens. Didn't see any that were majorly impressive but we had a good time looking at all of them. I was hoping they'd have some chicks for sale, but they didn't.

I was at that show for rabbits today and checked out teh poultry show. There were a whopping two bantam cochins shown. A mille fleur rooster with vulture hocks who got Reserve of Variety.......and a black (hen? cant remember) with WHITE ear lobes and no fluff who got best of breed. I was aghast. AGHAST. I've had hatchery birds better than those. They should both have been DQed. how do you give a mille fleur cochin reserve of breed?

I know some calls have to be made quickly and with the issues out there I commend the police dept but darn they keep raising taxes and have hungry ticket writers to cover those law suits.Hopefully,since the last one they have improved on the training of these young people so they realize the real World isn't a video game.

I can't forget 1 beautiful fluffy bunny came to live with us today...Thanks to Jenelle.She's been re-named already so for everything other than her pedigree her name is now Beauty.

She's getting spoiled now..she rode all the way home on Ethan's lap and then came in the house to meet everyone where I had to convince my husband she is a rabbit and she has eyes in there...somewhere

then she settled in to a bowl of yummy stuff

I went out to lock up the chickens and it looks so empty. I still have a few laying hens-RIR,lots of variety in chicks,free roosters and who knows what else try me I might surprise you.
