My tiny OEGB taking on a full size ameraucana hen. She may be wee, but she's mighty!

A funky mutt I hatched out last spring. Daddy was half black AM and half barred rock. Mama was a welsummer. Interesting, no?

A trio of young wheaten marans and a funky frizzle mutt a friend sent me.

A picture for Countrypunk of my lone SLW. She's three years old now and going strong. I get a huge egg from her faithfully.

And last, but not least, Elvis! Elvis is half blue sumatra and half buff silkie. She's a hoot!

Is splash an acknowledged color in any breed?

Yes,
And it should be with these, But alot of people from what I can tell think that 99 percent of hatchery blrw are splash, that its like a daluted version of the BLRW.
I find that they are just as gorgous.
As you see my roo is HANDSOME!
Ive had numerous people tell me that I could get nothing for my Splashs only for backyard stock.

Could have sworn I saw a judge say that Splash was not an accepted color in any breed? Did I get that wrong?

I can probably help you on the SLW in a few months if you want. I think they are just beautiful! I saw a flock on the road, boy to they get your attention. I have two sources for eggs. One I will have a few eggs from in a month and the other is a neighbor so when his start laying again I can probably get you hooked up too

Emmalynn- that black and brown spotted goat is my favorite! How stinkin' adorable is she?!
Your puppies still look like fat little piglets. HeHe! Will they still be around in January when we have goat lessons? I can't have one, but you know I want to play with them.

Donna- Idk exactly, but I would hope so. Never shown before.
And OMG that lil hen is so cute.. you cant even see the AM's head!
Beautiful SLW. All your birds are gorgous!

Got BCMs, Icelandics, silkie, EE bantams , buff sussex in the hatcher. Crossing my fingers for a good hatch.

He's my new BBS ameraucana pen roo. I can't wait to see what he throws next spring. I hope for lots of little splash babies.

Thankfully we have had some lovely days interspersed with the rainy days. I finally got all the coops cleaned out and new shavings down. The happy chickies were so pleased!

Fingers crossed for another few nice days before it gets really nasty.
