How was the fair?

If you have never been it is a very nice fair. Lots of areas for kids, animals, food, midway stuff. If I want to go to a fair again that would be my first choice. I felt safe too. I know I don't like to go to the state fair, just not the best layout or crowds. NOW I do have one complaint.... how to reg people with kids afford the fairs? $4-5 for each ride per person

plus admission OMG! Can you tell it has been a long time since I was at a fair? Now I know why I never took my OLDEST son to the fair

I think the fair in Ashland City has a flat price.... I could be wrong.

Yeah...sorry I missed y'all. I tried checking with the "Coordinators" stationed at each entrance (but they weren't terribly helpful). Had a good time, though (watched the parade from the Poultry Barn)...and decided that my GLW Opal would have done REALLY WELL if I had entered her...hehe...

Yeah! My hubby said my culls look better than the SLW they had. Really so do my BLRW, at least better than the GLW. Did you clean your shoes! There was at least one sick bird there and that is just a good idea anyway. You were not too far, because We were walking to the barn when the parade started.

YIKES! Didn't think about the shoes (although I have a pair of crocs I use for "critter chores," so I should be OK...I'll have to sanitize my son's shoes, though...we were pretty paranoid about hitting the hand sanitizer at each barn, though). Can't believe I missed y'all by so little...doh! YEEEAAHHH, except the phoenixes (which I haven't seen too many of), I was actually kinda unimpressed by the chickens. Also, out of the breeds I have, the ONLY one I saw was the GLW (no Jersey Giants, Buckeyes, or Faverolles that I saw). It was still a good time...ALTHOUGH I was a bit freaked out when I found out someone got SHOT there after we left......

NO! Really? I think I saw something on the news about something happening at a fair.... I didn't think it was the Wilson Co.... I can't remember what fair that was.

I had pheonix bantams. I loved them!
Tmfineg sent me a pic of some birds she got at the fair, 2 slw and a sultan. Sultan was nice and the slw was just hatchery. But vthey was decent. Still have filling out to do,but the lacing is strong.

Becky you have keets! I think 4 had popped out when I had left. The EX x WL eggs looked better for this batch so hopping for a good hatch. I also have pips in the other eggs but my main one is the SLW from Foley's birds 1 had pipped

Idk if anyone will read this tonight but I've got a predicament.
I am supposed to go with Donna tomorrow to visit Jerry Foley and pick up birds.
Well I was given a Partridge bantam rooster from foleys. The person said that he doesnt get the job done....well I hwvent seen him mount but he has deffinately been dancing qnd strutting around hens . After the day I got him, I put him in one of my bantam pens, he was with the other birds who came with him. I noticed right off he sneezes. It is a high pitched kind of sneeze.. and he did it frequently. So I put tetralycine in the water for a week, he seemed to not sneeze as much. But you could still see his neck breath in and out, pretty heavily.. no discharge out of nose or wattery or bubbly eyes.. he acts normal and eats fine.. but he sneezes.. wnd the breathing thing. Qny Ideas? I do not want to buy any hens if he is got something bad.
No other birds , either ones he came with or any others I have here sneeze or anything or show signs of anything.

What are yalls thoughts? I posted to diseases thread but no replya. Anyway. Thanks ahead.
