You can still show pets in the breeding class provided they are pure and are a good representation of their breed.

Wait so at 4-H do you sell rabbits there?

Depends. The breeding rabbits aren't sold. Anything shown in a meat class definitely goes to auction if they place. Rabbits and broiler chickens it's the top fifteen pens. Or at least at our shows. Goats and lambs are also 15. Pigs and steers might be less. Those animals are auctioned off at the end of the show. Buyers may give the animal back, or take it to be processed. Animals that are shown for breeding aren't generally auctioned off.

I thought you just got like a ribbon or something if you have a pretty rabbit I didn't know you could sell bunnies

You do get a ribbon if you place. Breeders may set up to sell to people who see their stock and are interested, but usually you don't set up to sell.
