I always feel like cuttlebone is really just a hold over from the "olde days" of bird keeping. Most birds won't touch it. When I was breeding all the various parrots and finches I found it was easier to offer it crushed or to just hard boil and blitz whole, unpeeled eggs when I made their egg food. They are way more likely to eat the crushed eggshells.It's like, what's the cuttlebone for, then?!?!
