The Missing Heir RP

The large herd of beef now chopped up and hanging in the smoke house, brought back Aeron's memory of when he first meet Aqatha; He had been tracking a herd of deer for days, but was having trouble catching up to them, they seemed to have no interest in resting, always moving south-west day and night.

Aeron was starting to give up on finding the deer, when he caught site of them, far ahead in a clearing, but as he approached, Aeron realized there was something wrong. They all stood stock still, looking to something in the clearing that was blocked from his view, and the feel of magic hung in the still air. Then suddenly, all the deer slumped to the ground and he saw an old, Zurian womam standing there. Aeron, feeling slightly disappointed at working so heard for nothing, then spoke clearly from were he was hidden among the trees, "Prithee Mistress! May I have one of those? I'll trade ye for it!"

Aeron smiled to himself, Agatha could have killed him, What a fool I was, but, I would not be where I am if I had not asked... he thought as the town came into sight.

Kira saw Aeron and Karok with a new companion and rode her mare over to them. She looked to the old zurian woman and smiled "Hello" SHe glanced to Aeron then to Karok before looking back to her "I am Kira"

The quiet of the forest road was interrupted by Agatha. "My boy, what have these years brought ye? Adventure?". The woman was curious about Aerons life since he left her years ago. She was also curious to know how he came to know Karok. "Ye tell me this man was after ye?" She asked Aeron while motioning to Karok. At her mention, Karok glanced over. He did not wish to interrupt but, prayed Aeron would speak tell truth.

"I've survived, partly in thanks to thy teachings. As for Karok, I ah, have been stealing horses and only a few days back, he came to bring me to justice, we fought by a river. He is much stronger then I and I almost drowned when he throw me to the river, once I was up, I taunted him and he came for me again, the river chilled his blood and he fell under the water. I could not let him die like that, so I pulled him out, we came to terms and later that day, Kira joined us."

Aeron finished, Agatha knew that years back he was a thief, but he felt uncomfortable telling her that he was still one, and Kira, until now, had not even known what had happened before she arrived.

Agatha nodded politely to Kira. She didn't approve of Aerons choice of work but knew better than to force him down a path. It'd be easier to teach a fish to walk. Upon hearing the story of Aeron and Karoks fight she smiled. "Yer honor made ye dense warrior." looking to Karok.

Karok narrowed his eyes to her but, he knew it was the truth. Aeron had outwitted him and bested him. "I am only thankful he shows mercy." He responded.

Kira turned her mare to walk with the others and listened to the three talk to eachother curiously.

Aeron smiled at Karok in an apologetic way, than trying to change the subject, said, "Aga, ye know how I could never make a binding charm hold? Well, this steed is bound to me, for three dens now."

"This is well my boy, ye remember much of my teachings." Agatha replied proudly. The group had just made its way into town and drew more stares than last time. This time however, Agatha glared right back waving her fist to threaten them. "Fools, they see nothin' but the outer flesh." She hissed. Karok agreed and glared at onlookers as well. "Let us focus on our search..."

((Sorry, I'm waiting for the diplomat, he's busy!))

"The search groups should be gathering in the square by now, we wilt make a good impression..." Aeron said, wishing he still had the sword that he had lost while on the run. It had belonged to the original Malcom Desdemona, the man that Aeron learned how to fight from, Malcom was long died now, but he still lived on in the legend that Aeron kept alive.

Then a thought came to him, he slowed until he was riding alongside Agatha, then asked in a low voice, "Thee once spoke of retrieving spells, dost ye still know one? I could use one once we are away from town."

Agatha gave a nod, "I know many my boy. I will give ye once we begin." She didn't question what the spell was for. All she knew was that her Aeron was missing something and she would find it.

Karok watched as adventurers of all walks of life gathered in the plaza. It was as if some race was beginning. Despite competition, he felt as though he and his companions would succeed. The ruins have spoken...
