"Col, I am freezing!" Naveen whined, it was not that cold yet, but the sun was setting fast.
"Yea, my Lady, I wilt have us a fire soon." Col grumbled as built up the small branches, that he had gathered from the sparse trees nearby.
They had stopped for the night by the Dragon river, that wound by the mountains, which gradually rose to the west, stretching from north to south. Col placed the small, enchanted stone under the wood, whispered to it as he had the night before, and stood, turning to face Naveen with a blazing fire behind him.
"See? I told thee I'd have us a fire, my Lady." He smirked, as she came closer to the warmth.
Col had not realized that the search party's were so close at hand, the dark haired man that Aeron had recognized and his companions only being five or so miles away, the second group at six miles being Aeron's, and the third was Nanami and Thea, who where eight miles away but farther north. With some daylight still left, the smoke from Col and Naveen's fire were clearly visible with the backdrop of the setting sun beyond the mountains.
"Well, ain't that interesting..." said the dark haired man in a low voice to the other men, watching the smoke in the distance spiral into the darkening sky as he sharpened his sword...
