The Missing Heir RP

With Aeron gone, and Karok nearly asleep, Agatha briskly began packing her things. Her rill was raised slightly, and turned a deep blue as her rage built. Quickly, Agatha stood and faced Lena. "If it is ye intend treachery then ye best be sure no harm comes to my boy!" She hissed angrily just loud enough for Lena to here.

Kira glanced over to Agatha when she started packing her things. She had taken one of the rabbits and sat down to eat near the fire to wait for Aeron to return. She couldn't quite hear what Agatha had said, but noticed the change of color in her rill and wondered about it. She ate her food, staying quiet and watching the two.

Lena narrowed her eyes, anger flaring within her, but she kept her exterior calm, though there was an edge to her tone when she next spoke, "Treachery? I intend nay such thing, and thy boy... Malcom wilt have no harm befall him, on my account, that is." She then smiled, as if amused, "Anyway, why would thee fear for Desdemona, he is known to slay men by the dozens. What could I, a young elf, dost to him...?" She then spotted him emerge from the woods, only I little away from them, and waved, giving him a dazzling smile. Then looked back to Agatha, "Really, ye have nothing to worry thyself about..."

---

Aeron waved back at Lena, smiling with excitement over his retrieval of the sword, though it appeared as if he was smiling because of Lena. His black horse came trotting over, as if wondering where he had been, and started nudging Aeron in the side with his soft nose.

Lena's words fell on deaf ears as Agatha prepped a small blanket to sleep on. She sighed deeply staring into the fire and contemplated the future and what it may hold.

Karok had already fallen asleep. The warmth of the fire gave him comfort as dreams swirled about in his mind. One nagging image was of treachery on the battle field.

Lena scowled, then stood and walked over to the fire, siting down on the opposite side of the blaze from where Karok was asleep, looking through the flames at him with narrowed eyes. She then looked up to her left, where her bay roan mare, and Malcom's black friesian grazed on the dying grass. Lena smirked slightly, if the horse that was bound to him, let down its guard around her horse, then it would not be long before he did the same to her.

Aeron walked over to Agatha, smiling as he did, "Thy firefly did its work well, I thank thee," he placed the small jar, with the recaptured insect in it, just in front of the shaman, hoping that he had not messed something up, by not letting the firefly free. Aeron then pulled out the sword to show her, it had many magical properties, for instance, the blade would never tarnish, and never dull.

"She thanks ye my boy. Firefly cannot fly without purpose." Gingerly Agatha slipped the jar into her bag.The warmth of the fire lulled her to sleep, and slowly her eyes closed.

With his bothersome dreams, Karok began to turn and toss. It was the same as his last. Blood dying the grass, bombs in the air, and crushed bodies of Elves and Zurians alike strewn about.

Kira looked to Lena when she sat down near her and smiled softly. She watched the others quietly, having learned long ago that sometimes the best information was found by watching and listening quietly. When Karok started stirring in his sleep she turned her head to look at him curiously, then looked back to Aeron with his 'new' sword before returning her gaze to Lena

Lena caught Kira smiling at her, and smiled back quickly. In Lena's opinion, Wildfolk were better then the other races, though, of corse they were still far below the High elves...

Aeron smiled, returning the sword to it's sheath as Agatha fell asleep, then quietly walked across the clearing to his horse, who greeted him with nuzzle. He took off its tack and laid it on the ground. He pulled out a thick wool blanket from one of the saddle bags, and went to the fire, laying the blanket in a spot between Kira and Lena, but a little further from the fire then them.

Kira shifted her gaze to him and smiled when he lay the blanket out near them. She was wide awake still. "Do ye wish for me to keep watch? I am not yet tired." She said softly, trying not to wake the others. She glanced to Lena then focused on Aeron again.

Before Aeron could answer, Lena offered, "I shall take second watch, if neither of ye mind, I am not tired either."

Aeron was quite tired himself, he guessed it had to do with being half Human, so he answered softly, "I would appreciate that, but as soon as ye tire, wake me, I wilt take the rest of the nights watch."
