The Missing Heir RP

With the fire warming his blood, Karok sighed and moved to a comfortable position. The fire burned slowly, tracing out the star symbol hidden within. It was upon the sky that Karok noticed a faint fog. Fire?

Agatha awaited Aeron. She almost ignored Lena, but decided she wanted to test what the elf was made of. "Cast young one..." she demanded while almost shoving the runes in Lena's hand.

Lena looked over the runes now laying in her palm, they were different then High elven runes, but she would be able to understand them, non the less. "I wilt..." She said, inclining her head in agreement. Lena knelt, casting the runes, and asked a simple question out loud as they fell, one that would not sound suspicious or give away her motive, "Wilt we find the princess?"

The runes landed, and Lena leaned forward slightly, "let us see then... 'Yea, for ye already know where they art...'" the message was clear, she did know where Naveen and Nicholas were, and where they would be... But she had to twist this truth, which was something she was good at.

"Ah, that makes sense, ye see the smoke? Far to the west. I thought it could be her when is first saw it, she must be heading through the mountains. What say thee, Agatha...?" Lena said, making sure her voice stead level, and still contained a superior tone, the same tone she always used.

Agatha narrowed her eyes at Lena. "Runes do not speak in riddles..."she mumbled under her breath. No longer trusting Lena, she simply looked to Aeron and motioned to the smoke. "Ye think it we take to it? Or wait for the morrow my boy?".

Karok was also curious if Aeron would act now or wait. Either way, they were close enough to gain on them. But, even Karok knew it was unwise to travel too deep in the mountains.

Lena gave Agatha a cold look for the old Zurians statement, it didn't maker if the two lizzereds liked her, as long as Isabella, Kira, and especially Desdemona did. Malcom trusting her was essential to the plan...

Aeron took a moment to answer Agatha, thinking about their options, "Methinks, we should rest this night, and set out in the early morrow," he looked to the smoke in the distance again, than looked back at Agatha, and asked in a much lower voice, "Dost thee think, ye could help me with that retrieving spell?"

"Of course my boy." She replied happily.Gingerly, she fished a small jar from her bag. Within this jar was a tiny firefly. Handing the jar to Aeron, Agatha smiled. "Focus upon ye hearts desire, when ye see it as though ye could grab it, release firefly. She will lead my boy."

Isabella took time from shifting through her bags to loosen her horses saddle straps. She headed off away from the group to change out of her clothes.

Aeron smiled and excepted the small jar, holding up so he could see the firefly inside, "I thank ye, Agatha,"

Lena eyed the firefly, then smiled at Aeron, and offered, "I have a much faster way, fireflies wilt just–"

"No, thank ye though," Aeron cut her off, not liking that the elf openly insulted Agatha's methods. He then turned, and began walking into the woods, excited that he'd finally have Desdemona's sword back.

"Anyone hungry?" Kira called out from near the fire and smiled at the assorted group. She saw Aeron heading away and grabbed one of the squirrels and ran over to give it to him before he could disappear. She smiled at him "Here you go"

Isabella had just finished changing into her sleepwear which mainly was a large cotton short and loose fitting men's trousers. She usually didnt have time to wash clothes so she'd trade out between day and night wear so they would stay fresh longer.

"I thank ye much," Aeron said warmly, excepting the squirrel with a smile. He continued into the woods, eating the perfectly cooked critter as he went. Once he was sufficiently away from their camp, and finest with the squirrel, he sat on the cool earth, focusing on the sword with his emerald eyes closed. Once he could see it in his minds eye, Aeron opened his eyes and released the firefly, it flew out of the jar, lighting up, then it began to fly further into the woods. Aeron followed the little golden light, soon the forest opened into a small clearing bathed in moonlight.

"Ah, there ye art..." Aeron sighed as he saw the sword, laying in the middle of the clearing, then examined it for a moment before strapping it's sheath to his belt. He looked around, seeing the firefly going on its marry way, he run after it, catching it and putting it back in the jar. Unsure if he was supposed to do that or not, Aeron headed back towards the camp, pleased with the weight of the sword now hanging on his hip.
