The Monster Inside ***An apocalyptic thriller RP***

Is this a good idea?

  • Yes, you should make some more of these types of thriller RPs!!!

  • Yeah, I guess it's kinda cool, but a little scary for my taste.

  • Nah, too freaky. *bundles in blanket to ward off bad guys*

  • Yes, I think it's a cool idea, but I would prefer if you made other types of RPs.

‘ Uh, let me check in the storage closet.’
Sky ran over to a door and opened it. They then ran into the kitchen, grabbed a step stool, and ran back over to the closest. A lot of struggling later and they ran back over to Kit, with a box of old, rusty nails.
Kit smiled. "That's perfect." After a couple of minutes, she had the frying pan covered in the sharp, rusty nails. A loud crash sounded at the door, and she squeaked, holding the pan in front of her.

Zayne’s fingertips hovered just above the doorknob, his other hand nervously gripping the strap of his backpack. He desperately needed more supplies, but the voices echoing through the hall made him hesitant.
Maybe I don’t have to, he told himself, glancing at the broken clock in the corner of the room. It was getting late, and he hated leaving at night. Maybe I can wait until tomorrow. Ah, who am I kidding? I can’t stall for any longer. Zayne grimaced, pulling out a small switchblade and gripping it tightly in his left hand. He took a deep breath, unlocking his door and exiting.

Sky hid behind Kit, looking at the door in fear. The monsters were breaking into their apartment, and it was terrifying.
"I can't die this way," Kit cried, voice trembling.

You don't have to, you know. You should let me take over.

It was that voice again. "What are you?" Kit whispered, though she already had a good idea of what it was.

I'm the monster inside you. It hesitated as the door cracked. I... don't really want you to die. Normally, I wouldn't mind, but if you die, I die. So you'd better let me take over.

"Wha--what do you mean?" Kit whimpered. "I'm not going to let you take over my body, if that's what you mean."

I... Jeez, kid, just let me take over. If you do, I'll let you keep your mind. Only for a little bit.

"No way." She gritted her teeth. "How do I not know if you're lying?"

You have the will power, Katherine. Kit froze at the mention of her full name. I know you. You can hold me back.

Kit stood there, speechless. "I--Okay..."

The door cracked, then splintered, and a slimy monstered that resembled an octopus with teeth as long as a mans finger slithered across the floor towards them.

And Kit let go. Just a small amount, becoming one with the monster in her brain. Her body became larger and more beefy, her cardigan ripping off and her glasses swinging off her eyes and hanging onto her ear. She still had a small bit of control over her body, but she knew her monster was changing her body.

BRING IT ON, YOU EIGHT LEGGED SNAILHEAD. The monster screamed through her mouth.

Sky watched Kit transform and screamed. Kit has the only weapon, and Kit was a monster. Sky ran to the bathroom and locked the door, locking themselves in. Sky felt their heart racing.

Milly heard screaming and shouting and started to pace the room.

you don't have to be scared. a voice slithered into her mind.

She froze, "I'm not scared." she said defiantly, "I'm never going to let you in, no matter what you promise me." she continued.

(is this how the monster kind of works?)

Kit watched as her monster grabbed the octopus with a beefy hand and flung it out the window, the broken glass breaking and tearing her skin. It sizzled for a moment, before closing itself. I'm going back now. You owe me one, Kit. Kit felt her mind returning fully to her body once more, and she began to shrink. When she was down to a regular size, she fell in a sitting position on the floor, stunned. "Sky? Can you come out here? The monster is gone."
