The Monster Inside ***An apocalyptic thriller RP***

Is this a good idea?

  • Yes, you should make some more of these types of thriller RPs!!!

  • Yeah, I guess it's kinda cool, but a little scary for my taste.

  • Nah, too freaky. *bundles in blanket to ward off bad guys*

  • Yes, I think it's a cool idea, but I would prefer if you made other types of RPs.

“Ah, great,” Zayne muttered under his breath. He cautiously approached the elevator, leaning as far away as possible as he stuck out one, shaky finger. He pressed the call button, jumping backwards as it dinged.
“So, uh, now’s probably not the time to say I don’t do well with things like-” he was abruptly cut off as the doors opened large creature covered in slimy black scales emerged. It had the legs of an arachnid, with beady black eyes and one large horn that stuck out of its forehead.
Zayne let out a stream of profanities, staggering backwards. “Taze it, taze it!” He yelped, slashing a leg off with his knife.
Bad idea, bad idea, bad idea! He repeated in his mind, swinging his knife wildly at the monster.
Jean cried out, shoving the hands that held the taser in front of her and squeezing the trigger. It hit the monster, and the monster convulsed, a nonhuman shriek coming from it's body. A long tongue slid out from the bottom of the monster, and it swiped at her. It hit her ankle, and she felt a CRACK. She grunted, collapsing to the floor and releasing her grip on the taser, which skidded a few feet away. Her mind didn't register the pain at first, and she wondered numbly why she was on the floor.

"I-I'm not," Blake retorted hastily. He called out to the girl. "You okay, kid?"
Emily spun around, holding out a pencil as a weapon. Seeing it was just the nice man who'd saved him, she lowered it. "M-me? Yeah, I guess. Thank you, sir, for saving me." She smiled shyly, hoping that the man wouldn't ask if she was underage

“Jean!” Zayne called, rushing to her side. He dropped to his knees, his hands hovering just above her. He wasn’t sure what was wrong, or what he could do, if anything.
A claw shot out of the creatures leg, latching onto Zayne’s shoulder. “Get- off of me!” He hissed, yanking his arm free. He scanned the floor, his eyes landing on Jean’s taser.
He grabbed it, sending a volt of electricity through the monsters body. While it was distracted, he stabbed his switchblade through the beasts eye.
As it fell, Zayne dropped the stun gun, stumbling away. That was a human once, he thought, I just murdered a human.
Without warning, he promptly threw up.

Jean pushed herself up to a sitting position, trying to ignore the searing pain in her ankle. She dragged herself over to Zayne and picked up her taser, watching him. Guilt filled her. This was her fault. She had chosen to go down this path. "I-I'm sorry." She reached out, touching his arm.

Zayne turned his face away from her, sticking one finger in the air. “Don’t apologize,” he said softly, after he was sure he wasn’t going to throw up again. He wiped his mouth on the back of his hand, glancing in her direction. “You weren’t the one that just barfed all over this mess.”
He glanced down at his shoulder, grimacing as the pain started to expand through the rest of his arm. The creature had scratched him pretty bad in that one area, but he was otherwise unhurt.
“How bad is your leg?” He asked, turning his attention back to her ankle.

"I-it's fine," Jean lied, sliding backwards until she was resting against the wall. "We better leave, just in case more monsters are around..."
