“Ah, great,” Zayne muttered under his breath. He cautiously approached the elevator, leaning as far away as possible as he stuck out one, shaky finger. He pressed the call button, jumping backwards as it dinged.
“So, uh, now’s probably not the time to say I don’t do well with things like-” he was abruptly cut off as the doors opened large creature covered in slimy black scales emerged. It had the legs of an arachnid, with beady black eyes and one large horn that stuck out of its forehead.
Zayne let out a stream of profanities, staggering backwards. “Taze it, taze it!” He yelped, slashing a leg off with his knife.
Bad idea, bad idea, bad idea! He repeated in his mind, swinging his knife wildly at the monster.
