Aisling frowned. "What little girl? I didn't see any. Here, take this hard shoe. You might want one.""Ah, great, you're here now." Blake sighed. "Is the little girl okay?"
"Thanks," Blake said grudgingly. He pointed the shoe at the monsters. He held back a few choice words from leaving his mouth, as he didn't fancy soap being shoved in his mouth.Aisling frowned. "What little girl? I didn't see any. Here, take this hard shoe. You might want one."
Aisling watched him. "Good. I brought even more powerful soap if you decide to be rude to the monsters." She slipped on her own pair of hard shoes. "You might want to stay back.""Thanks," Blake said grudgingly. He pointed the shoe at the monsters. He held back a few choice words from leaving his mouth, as he didn't fancy soap being shoved in his mouth.
"Landscapes." Jean smiled, taking the last bite of her chocolate bar and stowing the trash in her pocket. "I've painted ever since I was seven. I'm not very good, but it is kinda an outlet, ya know?"
A annoying strand of hair fell in her face. Jean sighed, letting her dark hair out of its bun, the curls falling around her shoulders. Deftly, she swiped up her hair and twisted the band around it. That's better. She thought satisfactorily.
"So, what do you like to do?" She asked, mimicking his cross-legged position and cocking her head.
Jean frowned at the noise. "What's going on out there?"Zayne smiled, squinting his eyes slightly as he listened. “Nice, nice,” he said, leaning back.
He watched as Jean took her hair out of its bun, the bubblegum pink curls flowing around her shoulders like grass in the breeze, before getting trapped in the rubber band again. He remembered when he was younger, rushing to the ice cream truck after school with his friend, Dex. Much to Dex’s disgust, Zayne alway chose the bubblegum flavored ice cream, taking great joy in the two-in-on treat.
Her question brought him back to the present, and he took a moment to realize what she said.
“Oh, me? I don’t really have a lot of hobbies. When I was younger I used to love welding, but. . .” Zayne shrugged, glancing towards the door as the screams got louder. “Life happened, y’know?”
"Girl, I may be at a disadvantage with this arm of mine, but I'm still twice as strong as you."Aisling watched him. "Good. I brought even more powerful soap if you decide to be rude to the monsters." She slipped on her own pair of hard shoes. "You might want to stay back."
Aisling grinned. "Not your legs. My legs are probably four times as strong as yours.""Girl, I may be at a disadvantage with this arm of mine, but I'm still twice as strong as you."
Jean frowned at the noise. "What's going on out there?"
Jean stood off the couch. "You wanna go help?" She stuck out her hand to help him up.Zayne looked back towards the door, frowning. “It sounds like the monsters are getting closer.” He replied. The screams were definitely human, and the thought of other people being slaughtered made him ill. He wanted to go out there, to fight off the creatures, but he couldn’t make himself stand up.
He looked away, hanging his head. It was too late, anyway. Most of them were probably beyond saving by now.
"You obviously haven't seen my legs then." Blake grunted as he kicked a monster back. "Not that I'd want you to see them."Aisling grinned. "Not your legs. My legs are probably four times as strong as yours."
