Zayne steadied her, pulling her arm over his shoulder to help take off some of her weight. He let a quiet ‘hush’ before biting his tongue. She was in pain, he couldn’t expect her to stay silent.
As Kit entered the room, confusion, followed by recognition, filled his face. When he saw the monster that looked similar to her, he thought it just ate her, and took on some of her features. Not that she was the monster. He was honestly surprised by what little he knew about the creatures roaming the city.
