And her side lost....

A "bada$$" would have fought against owning other human beings 🤷‍♀️. Seems like she was just bad. 💩

Only my 2 cents. I mean, it's eggs, I don't really care. I just thought I'd share the info.
Both sides owned slaves.
Many confederates fought for state rights and to limit the federal government, among many many other things.
If you have Civil War reenactment camps in your state I strongly recommend visiting and chatting with an open mind with those on both sides!

Wow. This thread really took a turn. Sorry about the part I played in that. I'm gonna see myself out.

But first:

@Glory to His name I don't need a history lesson on what the confederacy was fighting for. I really dislike misinformation, so here's some unbiased information for you. 🥰 ✌️

"A common explanation is that the Civil War was fought over the moral issue of slavery.

In fact, it was the economics of slavery and political control of that system that was central to the conflict."

https://www.history.com/topics/american-civil-war/american-civil-war-history

"Growing abolitionist sentiment in the North after the 1830s and northern opposition to slavery’s extension into the new western territories led many southerners to fear that the existence of slavery in America—and thus the backbone of their economy—was in danger."

https://www.battlefields.org/learn/articles/10-facts-what-everyone-should-know-about-civil-war

"The conflict began primarily as a result of the long-standing disagreement over the institution of slavery."

https://source.colostate.edu/what-really-started-the-american-civil-war/

"The vice president of the Confederacy, Alexander Stephens, also said slavery was the reason for secession, and that Thomas Jefferson’s words in the Declaration of Independence – that all men are created equal – were wrong."

"Although the evidence shows slavery caused the Civil War, some Southerners created a myth – the “Lost Cause” – that transformed Confederate generals into heroes who were defending freedom. To some degree, that myth has, unfortunately, taken hold."

"
It’s important to know the real reason for the Civil War so the country no longer celebrates historical figures who fought to establish a slave-holding republic."
