In other words, you lied to spare my feelings?? After separating the chicks some I was able to get a better look at them. I actually identified 2 that were questionable and I believe that one I was leaning cockerel but the other I was leaning pullet. Let’s hope so! 4 is better than 3. I’ve definitely got 3 pullets. These cockerels will be reduced again. @The Moonshiner, do you think I should keep more than one of those RIR cockerels? I marked the best 3 when they were babies and one really stood out amongst those 3. I didn’t give him an extra band and now I can’t tell him from the other 2.

I am the wrong one to ask because I'd probably keep all three.
But ya I would definitely keep two if I was you. When you're working on a project you really need two so if something happens to one you have a back up.

That was my feelings too. I feel like a real dufus for not double banding that one cockerel.

You could also split your next generation breeding. Use both boys with different girls and see if one throws more of what you're wanting then the other.

Tearing down that mobile home is a lot of work! The good thing is I have all the building materials I need except for roof metal.
