Not sure, I gave a bunch of eggs to a kindergarten class to hatch out and this was the only one to make it ( power went out a few times ) so they gave it back. As for what he’s mixed with, I have no idea for sure. I do have a blue cochin rooster that could be the dad and mom is a buff silkie ooooor I do have a black sumatra hen and a salmon faverolles rooster too. He has extra toes like silkies and faverolles, but he doesn’t have a head poof or a beard. It looks like he has the melanistic gene, though.

Is it a double deletion gene they carry or something?

Sorry can't help it. I play with them twice per day because I manually turn them.

Is there any reason as to why he walks like that and can it be fixed or is it too late? He was hatched on the 17th and I didn’t get him back until Monday.

Have 6 splash marans. So excited, I think 3 or 4 are females. I qas really nervous I'd only have one or two. Cant wait to see egg color so I can choose who stays

Yeah…makes me wonder if someone released them. He didn’t seem too spooky like you’d think wild quail would be. There’s a second male hanging around too.
