I can see some little males starting to stand out in my 2 week old bunch. Definitely need to stop hatching BCs after this current batch in the bator is done.

All I'm hatching is cockerels. Or the pullets are the ones getting chilled and croaking. So annoying right now.

I ordered 15 (5 cockerels, 10 pullets) Chocolate Orpingtons from a farm store not far from me.
Yes they're coming from Hoover's and won't get there until first week in June.
I just need their Chocolate genes and figured Hoover's Orpingtons may look as close to Leghorn as Orpington. May have shaved off a generation or two of breeding going through them.

I mean, that makes sense. I just thought maybe you'd revised your stance on the (clearly) superior birds.

Na, been there done that with the Orps.
I'd been thinking about getting back to chocolate projects since you mentioned you had chocolate birds.
Kind of fell into this deal so WTH. Too good to pass up, but that may be my chick fever talking
