I candled my big incubator because it’s easy and I don’t have to handle the eggs. But anyway, from the crosses, every egg was developing. That rooster had 12 hens at the time I was collecting. The pure RIRs had 5 clears and that rooster only had 3 hens!

I thought about that, but there’s a reason he’s the backup. The other one is the best physical representation of the breed. Definitely some food for thought, though.

Yeah, but it could give some insight as to if it's the rooster or the hens' faults for the clears. It would only need to be one batch, I'd imagine
