I finally heard back from that one lady that I’ve been waiting for. She says she’ll have chicks for me to choose from on the 10th.

Sweet.
I should have a few eggs going into lockdown today.
Nothing else even set so looks like at least a 3 week chick hiatus here.

Good god…I’m sorry it’s taking so long for me to get my new chicks. Apparently the breeder got her hatch dates mixed up and made an obvious mistake. Now she’s saying that she’ll have some for me this week and will let me know what she’s got once they hatch. And, if she doesn’t, then I swear I’m done waiting around ‘cos I’ve already given her so many chances.

On the bright side…I should be getting my new hot tub this week, so there’s that. What are the odds that I’m able to receive both around the same time? Who knows…

I set some eggs in the big incubator tonight. Small batch but it's something. Should be underway for weekly hatching again if the hens cooperate.
Been 90s to upper 90s most days for the last week or two so production is down and I'm sure viability will be too.

I had ordered a new one like 4-5 weeks ago ‘cos my old one assed out.
