Let's play "What would Moony do?"
Long story short I've been looking into getting some call ducks. There not often around in my area and when they are they usually look more like mallards then calls.
Saw an ad on CL. They weren't very far from me at all. The pics weren't very good so it was hard to judge them. I was looking for even just one that would give me some hope that some might be worth having.
Someone told me "they're close just go look at them."
So off I went. Now.... What would Moony do....
A. Go just look and come home empty handed.
B. Go look. Take good pics and come home and get others opinions.
C. Go look and buy only a couple of the best ones.
D. Go look and buy a few that were decent.
E. Go look and buy everything even close to decent.
F. Go buy everything that was for sale and even slightly resembled a call like duck.

Part B
A. Don't rush into anything. just look and come home and take a day to think about it.
B. Have a game plan first and only consider buying what fits the plan.
C. Get a half @$$ plan and buy what's worth buying and work it out later.
D. Plan? Plans never work out why bother. Go unprepared and deal with it after the fact.

I passed on the quail. He was asking $5 a piece. I can usually get them at auction for $1. If not then $2.
No silkies or that would of been quite possible.
No other birds but I did have interest in a couple breeds. One he had juveniles but wasn't ready to sell any. The other he just got his first chicks of.
Will be getting back in contact in the future.
And IDK your best friend's cousin's neighbor's grandpa. Might be this guy but he did offer me a free 2 year old female beagle.
She was beautiful and as far as dogs go beagles were my first love and always have a place in my heart.
I walked away. The boy has been hounding (see what I did there) me that he really needs her.

It's all good. I have hope she will spare me. Particularly as I have a very special meat grinder, for those she finds not worthy enough of her scalpels or bathroom scales.
