I remember not realizing how dangerous rats were until they were a big danger in the Warrior cat series. Same with badgers and beavers.
That's too funny!! And I'm sure badgers are dangerous, but I'm not seeing a huge beaver threat. Of course, most people don't know how BIG beavers are. We had one wander through, the cat with me took one look, hissed and booked it. It was bigger than the Border Collie.

But seriously though, rats have killed cats. Sometimes in the initial fight, sometimes the cat dies of it's injuries later. Karma who I mentioned above would have died if I hadn't crawled under a cabin to drag him out and take him to a vet. The huge abscess wasn't his only bite, just the one that blew up the most.

Oh I’ve read those books. I’ve also read Anton and Cecil Cats at Sea where rats were an issue. I’ve heard cats won’t go after rats and I know they are dangerous. But that won’t stop Tiger, even though she’s our smallest cat.
Fortunately, she was already 4 when the rats moved in. Hopefully she can pass on her age-earned wisdoms to the new kittens.
Personally, I don’t think my mother understands that getting barn cats won’t be the solution. I don’t actually want them. I like the three we already have. But here we are.

Beavers @Kessel23
^^^
I agree that they’re not dangerous, just a big nuisance. Kessel could tell you.
