So if I wanted to make buff leghorns, how would the experts go about it? My logic goes to buff orpington x brown leghorn, but i feel thats a terrible idea

Buff minocoras were also suggestes. Would those work better?

The fuller tails on the US ones are superior to the tiny tails on the english.....but the giant flopflop combs are better. We need to combine them.

American Leghorns should have a lopped comb. Not a huge one, but lopped nonetheless, and bigger than some breeds. Here is a hen that keeps winning champion LF at shows, can’t remember the breeders. Sometimes the bantams don’t have as developed of combs because the dwarf size doesn’t always lend to it.

Oh yeah, the spitballing is what I'm here for! Lol. I might not have much to add on the genetics side since I'm still learning. But I enjoy shooting the breeze, won't be such a lurker here
