Although she was not much better when I had her in the house either. She just lays around all day :hit at least in the house though she moved a little bit and ate. I think she’s just afraid of the boys since they always jump her so I think she doesn’t leave and therefore doesn’t eat or drink much. I will try also putting some water and food in the nest box so she doesn’t have to leave.

Off the boys. If possible, put the hen with a few other girls and give her a couple of days.
Make sure that those three beeches are dead, though.

What's wrong with her? I had s bantam I thought I'd have to cull bit she got better slowly
She just lays in the nest box all day and won’t leave and I don’t think she’s eating or drinking :hit my other two older girls don’t leave either but they are on the roosts and in good condition. Her back and head is also all torn up from the DANG roosters and she had a wound or lesion thing on her chest and huge kernel in her foot but I treated both of those and they’re looking better. She was in the house for about a week with her “sisters” recently for that and was even on Baytril though I wonder if it made her worse. I believe she is just scared of the other birds though because when she came out today (after a pullet she barely knows scared her out of the nest box by accident), she literally laid down and glued herself right behind my legs 😭😭😭 I actually had to fend a few birds off because they would not leave her alone! They kept coming back! :th

Yeah, I am thinking I’m going to move her and her two “sisters” into a retirement coop and definitely off the boys! The retirement coop is also a lot lower to the ground so no ramp and may be easier. ❤️ I go back and forth on offing Danno because he’s adorable and AMAZING with his girls (tidbits, dances, protects, etc.) but he’s a total a hole to everyone else especially my other roosters and my older girls and he’s teaching his girls to be mean so he’s gotta go.

I thought that you were separating the flock into two and keeping Dan with the younger girls?

Well, they’re already in separate coops but I let them free range most days lately so he’s a jerk when they’re out. I realize I could just let them out on separate days or something like that and I might still but he’s just soooo mean and I’d like to just get rid of all the boys and integrate all the girls together (plus a separate retirement coop) but idk yet. Still unsure on that. 😂🙈 for now though, I’m gonna just off Max and Freddy I guess and keep Danno locked up. My dad really hates him though so idk.

Right now, Danno has his own flock of the birds he grew up with which are my Brabanters and bantam Cochins. The other coop is my 3 original old girls, my 5 younger hens, and Jack’s 3 kids (Freddy, Max, and Sarge). I wanted to integrate Danno and his crew with the younger bigs but they all hate him so I don’t foresee that going well. 😂 But I might try it (done properly of course). Or I could keep his crew entirely separate and just start free ranging on separate days. A pretty good option but then the crew that stays locked up gets pissed 😂🤣 or, alternatively, I could just off all the boys and integrate all the girls. I am leaning towards this option as boys are really starting to annoy more and girls were much happier without but I’m not sure. In any of these scenarios, I still think a “retirement coop” for the old girls is best even though the younger girls all respect and treat them well. The Punks and the boys do not.
