I'm the dissenting voice in the canticle, but I HATE Calico Cochins, Mille Fleur Cochins, and Tolbunt Polish. Not one of those birds looks like another one. When someone can breed them and they come out uniformly in color and pattern I may rethink my stance on them. But personally, I think they are garbage and people think they have something great and breed and sell them with no idea what they are doing. lol Kind of like Lavender Orpingtons.
On the whole, I think the BBS pen looks nice. The whites I'm not so sure about either as there are some not-white feathers on some of them. If they are all related, chances are you'll get some weird stuff popping up out of the group if you breed them. Worse comes to worst you could just pick them all up, keep the birds you like, and flip the rest.

At least in breeds that aren't well-established. I don't mind looking at Mille Fluer OEGB or D'Uccle for instance. But even Jubilee Orpingtons make me twitch sometimes.

There is only 1 good thing about those colors... they sell like hotcakes as "pets" cos everyone wants a "fancy" looking chicken in their yard.
Those "fancy" looking chickens probably never see a rooster in their lifetime either which is probably a good thing
