We had a Shepherd mix and have another currently.

First one was absolutely a love bug. Loved everyone she saw. Used to joke she'd just let a burglar in because she thought he was a friend.

Current one does not like people she doesn't know. And even then, some people she never warms up to.

Our neighbors have a German Shepherd that I'm admittedly nervous around, and that's the first dog I've ever legit been nervous around.

I remember my grandmother had it on VHS. So I bought it on DVD for her for Christmas a couple of years ago. It's an oldie, but a goody. Like Meemaw!

Yeah this shepherd was the first time I’ve ever been genuinely scared by a dog lol mostly honestly though just cause I didn’t want them to get bit or to have a dog fight on my hands lol I didn’t really care about me. Just didn’t want client’s dogs getting bit on my watch lol I’m also honestly nervous around my uncles Rhodesian Ridgeback lol he’s nice enough and well trained but you never really know what he’s thinking you know? And I’m not around him enough to learn hahah whereas their last one was a hugeeeeee love bug which I think is an abnormality for the breed but still hahah she was also a lot smaller. He’s huge and very powerful lol

In the book, Pongo and Missus were the parents of the Darling's pups. Perdita and Prince were liver-spotted. Prince belonged to another couple that vacationed in the country when he and Perdita met and had a tryst. Perdita was the same I think? Anyway, when Pongo and the Missus ran off to find their pups, the Darlings found Perdita lost looking for her litter. They took her home and fed and bathed her which is when they realized she was a dalmatian. She had some issues related to losing her pups and if I remember correctly, liked to lick the Darlings hands until they had to use lotion to keep them from cracking and she'd lick that off too. Pretty sure it was related to the need to clean puppies. At the end of the book, The Darlings were reunited with Pongo and the Missus and 97 puppies. Perdita made 100. And Prince comes to live with them in the country home (where the puppies were formerly kept) and makes 101.
