The Moonshiner's Leghorns

I said I buy old vehicles.... this one has a stock DVD player & pop down screen in the headliner. When was the last time you saw one of those?
My kid hates western movies to the point that sometimes I make him sit down and watch one with me for punishment. I think I'm going to keep one in the truck. When he gives me any grief in the trunk I'm going to threaten to make him ride in the backseat and watch a movie.
Dvd players are awesome!

I get it but I will mourn his loss
I didn’t want to be haunted with wry tails for many years to come or I would have used him. We have dealt with trying to breed wry tails out of a line and they are a major pain in the neck. Squirrel tail is bad too but a little easier to breed out than wry tails. I hated to do it, but at the end of the day he was taking up pen space with no plan on being bred. It had to be done. 😞

Oh yeah I get it. I called the ones I'm never going to use throwaways. And you always end up with more of those at the end of the year then keepers especially cockerels.
And yeah you got to do something. When you're feeding too damn many as it is you can't just keep feeding a ton of extras. I used to do all right selling them at auction. Didn't make a lot but I mean you made something and the good thing was that you just loaded them up and take them and they don't come home.
They quit doing the chicken auction so now I don't have that option. The last year and a half or so I just gave away a ton. Females to people that just wanted eggs and males to a few different families that I knew could use them.
I like how you gave the neighbors the good rooster. That's the kind of stuff I do. I think it shows you're in it for more of the right reasons then just trying to make a buck.
I guess I'll start getting ready for this season. Some of my females haven't been separated yet and I usually start collecting eggs to hatch the beginning of May so it's about that time.

Wow its nice! The previous owner took really good care of it. I like it a lot. Its sharp.
I like it a lot too. Hopefully it'll hold up for a few years if not longer. I think the thing I like the most though is...... No car payment.

I recently bought a new DVD of one of my favorite movies... The Emperor's New Groove!
I think the last one I bought was Kevin Costner's Horizon. That was back in September for my boy to give to me for my birthday.
My daughter gave me two for Christmas and about a month ago I stepped up from a DVD player to a Blu-ray player that I got a deal on from eBay.
So yeah I haven't given up on them yet.

In other exciting news I bought a new 60 ft Stanley FatMax garden hose today. It was some kind of special deal with that being a 60 foot instead of 50 and came with the sprayer head. Clearance priced at $24.95. Originally $44.95. How cool is that?
