The Moonshiner's Leghorns

I haven't had any mower gas in over a week so when I picked some up this morning I ended up spending too much of the day mowing. 90° day so not the smartest plan.
Did get rid of 32 roosters today though. Probably need to get rid of about that many more.

Too bad some didn’t get to come to Kentucky to live.

Ya know I almost got into leghorns. TSC the year before I got the the types of chickens I have now had blue breasted browns. Once I was ready to buy chickens I couldn't find them anywhere. I would have had leghorns and Ameraucana only if I had found some. I feel like I missed out.

I will gladly share eggs next year from mine.

My goals are different now and the Spitzhauben fill the white egg roll for me. Will probably be getting down to just Silver Ameraucana, Spitzhauben and my Crested EE project. Won't be replacing my Phoenix as they go either. Maybe I'll get along far enough on the Crested EE project to start integrating the Phoenix like I want to before they are all gone.

Do you sell hatching eggs?

Not currently, but I may offer some in the future. The mail has been ridiculously long in getting some eggs I recently sent to a friend of mine and it makes me super nervous about selling eggs now. Historically, I’ve had decent luck getting eggs I have ordered in a decent time. But I shipped my friend’s eggs on Monday 5/5 via USPS and they are still meandering around the continent somewhere, but only God knows where they are now. The 3 day “Priority” shipping has turned into 1.5 weeks and they are still no where to be found. RIP little turkey embroyos.

I hope the eggs rot and explode on a USPS truck or hub in the 80-90 degree heat. Serves them right for losing them and sending them on such a perilous and futile journey.
