Wow it's chilly out today. Yesterday was too but huge thunderstorms Saturday night so I blamed that. Looks like fall here now. Our low to mid 60s overnights and highs up to 85° have now turned to mid 40s overnights and mid to upper 60s for highs.
Gonna be work, work, work here for a bit. Gotta eliminate some birds, no fun. Start figuring where everyone is gonna be wintering and lots of moving around.
Gotta tighten up a couple pens then I guess I'll start with adult roosters.
Sucks the deeper I go I'm afraid the more obvious it'll be on how many need to go.
Digging for long sleeve shirts and waiting on coffee atm though.
It's chilly here today too. We had some pretty bad thunderstorms yesterday and we were without power for a few hours last night. Of course the power goes out when I have deadlines to submit assignments for school. Luckily it came back on around 11pm and I was able to get everything submitted before midnight.

We need to thin down some roosters too, so we may butcher some when I get another weekend off.

That's unfortunate. They are rather pretty. Are they still ... Leghorns? 🤔
Mille Fleur is a color variety that is found in many different breeds, including Mille Fleur D'Uccle Bantams and Speckled Sussex. Jubilee Orpington I believe is another one and I think there are Mille Fleur Cochins, and maybe other breeds I can't think of with the Mille Fleur color. Mille Fleur isn't a fan favorite amongst the Leghorn group. lol

Finally someone gets it.

Those were a pair I once had.
At one time there was at Ieast a couple places that sold them. Yes as leghorns but they were more like still in the project phase.
I tried with them and then tried crossing with some of my buffs to improve them. The pattern is complicated so it's one of those have to hatch a lot to get a few to move forwards with.
Playing the odds and with them the odds were never ever in my favor. Most frustrating pattern I've ever messed with and all along the way I had @Chookwagn sitting there cringing. Apparently the pattern is "too messy" for his taste.
