Yeah mine love the mango trees.Ya mine never learn to perch very early on.
Well in the pens anyways. Funny any escapees seem to immediately learn to fly to the rafters of the barn and roost though.

Anyone seen any threads about anyone making mini versions of the no waste bucket feeders with the PVC elbows for chicks?
Oh no. They are dumb. lol My one Silkie rooster learned to roost, but he needed a nice ladder to get up there. He was in with some other birds, so he learned pretty quickly how to do it once he figured out he got crapped on if he slept on the floor. Our Silkies ,unfortunately and please don't get mad at me but I keep saying they are as dumb as rocks... we try to introduce them even to low perchs they just can't seem to get it only one has learn to perch on her own.
I've collected a few small buckets from work and was just brainstorming a use for them. You could make the mini for chicks using a Tupperware CD storage box.
I have to help my silkies find the door to the run. They try running through the chicken wire and get smooshed against itMy silkies are about average compared to the growing group they're in. Smarter than the polish but dumber than Big Bird and the leghorns

That’s mini!?
looks ginormous! I also didn’t realize it was possible to make them as big as the regular hahah I usually see them with 5 gallon buckets and then the tote shown as mini is usually the bigger size but that’s neat seeing an even bigger one!
