Hey Colt, do you know if the breeds creator has to be one of the people showing? Like if I manage to make a breed that fits everything needed, do I have to be one of the people that shows it to count or can I have 5 other people that show it count?

Whatever. I'm surprised I could pay attention long enough, even to see they talked about Marans. I start scanning the minute I see poor sentence structure. I'm not even bothered enough by crossing different breeds at this point because the chances of meeting all the APA requirements for acceptance are practically zero.

Generally, I believe the person spearheading the effort shows them as well. It's a good faith thing, and you can be there to answer any questions and support your own initiative. I don't think it is a requirement, just assumed by the APA that you would.

No, but what is the point of getting it accepted by the APA if you aren’t going to show it anyway? Except for the sake of the other breeders, of course.
I mean, it doesn’t need to be accepted to be a breed.
