The Moonshiner's Leghorns

I bred a double factored cuckoo rooster to a silver duckwing female.
Then bred those offspring together.
This is one of what they produced.
Follow that?
Know what that pairing could produce?
There could be 4 different pullet patterns and 4 cockerel patterns.
I think you would get something like some Cuckoo Silver Duckwing (Double Factored males) and possibly some Cuckoos

Wow! I should’ve paid closer attention at that over priced four year institution! You have some awesome birds and an amazing grasp on the whole genetics game.
Heh heh. I cheated and used Kippenjungle

Yup. And some black females and single factor males too.

I actually prefer to use my own calculations than Kippen Jungle. Some things in the calculator just don't actually happen. I agree, I would say there is a big chance of black females and even a bigger chance of single factor males

I kind of proofread it though. Plus I had to make sure to keep the barring silver barred cause otherwise you'd get lots of goldens per say.

Agreed!

I don't think The Moonshiner is going to appreciate us tearing apart his thread

Hi. Welcome. Ya figured it was about time to make my own thread instead of slipping pics in your thread all the time.
Wouldn't mind you posting a few of yours here. Show some of these guys what a beautiful pattern you came up with. :)

Thanks for the shout out, you are really kind! :bow

Of course, I'm happy to brag on this color....;) It is the combination of Isabel as you showed earlier ---- and barring. The light out there was pretty good just now, so it gives a sembance of how they look.

Male is only about 8-months old, and I wonder if his tail is being chewed on by mice at night or something...

Right on target for your assessment of my project capabilities - I'm probably at the point you were when you left showing behind and ventured into making your own varieties.

These are the only non-crested Lavender Patterned Isabel Duckwing - Barred (dual factor) that I know of on earth Ta da.

CJ Waldon has the same plumage pattern, except she has kept the crest. Mine lay greenish blue eggs -- for hers she is working on pure blue.

Was a fun project. Whoo Hoo -- thanks for all that praise and recognition.

Did you cross them with cream legbars to get the green eggs and barring?
