The Moonshiner's Leghorns

A bearded Sebright!? Aaaah, I'm dying! I love it so much!

Okay, fine, dying very actively, but still.
EDIT: Wait, or is that a Wyandotte? It looks like a Sebright, but....
No. Es un d’Anvers. A project. So it sorta looks like a bearded Sebright because of the henny feathers. Justin also got a henny feathered silver quail looking one from his... so it looks like a hen-colored cockerel.

Thank you!
I NEED SOME.

I don't have silver laced.... but I do have what I call a 'blue quail'. Her name is Pip. She's placed sporadically around in the pics. Has 1 EE chick that she is raising and hatched.

She’s gorgeous! And yep, I see that fight’n blood in her. My blue quail hen is a spitfire. Now I have a couple blue quail pullets too.

Ok, I haven’t read the whole thread because it’s long and my brain is fried. I do have a few questions tho. Are all varieties of leghorn flighty? Are some colors or strains calmer? Do they all lay as much as my hatchery girl?

I used to think they were a sorta plain bird, but I got a leghorn from the random bin at the feed store and she has such personality and I love her floppy comb. I just feel bad for how often a spook her 😭

I think the flightyness depends a bit on how theyre raised. Ive raised some that were pretty much free ranged 24/7 while others stayed penned a lot. Same line but the penned ones were a lot less flighty.
Some colors have seemed to be calmer probably because of what breed were used to bring in the pattern. MF and Isabel have seemed the least flighty.
None lay as well as hatchery whites. Hatchery Browns can lay as well but not every stain.
The rarer colors don't lay as well and most show line birds ive had lay kinda poorly.
